Account deletion

You can permanently delete an Orbitfolio account and associated app data directly in the app from Settings → Account & security → Delete account and data . A guest user can use the deletion action in the same section to remove the generated guest identity, server-side trial record, and Orbitfolio-managed local data.

Account deletion removes the account, active Orbitfolio sessions, and server-synchronized portfolios, preferences, favorites, and password-reset state. Individual portfolios can be removed from the portfolio selector, and one or all favorites can be removed from the Favorites screen without deleting the account.

The deleting device clears its Orbitfolio-managed local cache. An offline device may retain an encrypted local cache until it reconnects and its revoked session is checked. Exported files, device backups, payment-provider records, and records legally required for fraud, accounting, tax, or dispute purposes may require separate handling or limited retention.

If you cannot access the app, contact info@orbitfolio.org from the account email address. Never include your password. We will verify the request, confirm receipt, and explain any legally required retention or additional timing. Most verified requests are completed within 30 days.

Deleting an Orbitfolio account does not cancel an Apple, Google Play, or Stripe subscription. Cancel renewal with the payment provider to prevent future charges. The app warns about this and still offers an immediate account-deletion path.
